The Kini thickens his cheeks and puffs himself up mightily, the hero; when Mama Merkel was still there, he didn't dare to be really nasty, but now he senses his chance and does what a real Bayerntrumpl does, insults his political opponents properly. Yes, he can make wind. But apart from wind, it has little to offer, at least not a single new idea. He doesn't want wind turbines and he can't do nuclear power plants, but he can do press conferences!
And he does everything else on the side:
In order for nuclear energy to continue to operate smoothly, the fuel elements should have been ordered by December 2021 at the latest, which is why this superfluous debate on the duration of the project is about 2022 - 12 months too late in mid-18, if it should ever have been successful at all.
If there is a blackout in Bavaria, it is mainly because the Minister President responsible is not doing his job properly, is hindering the expansion of renewable energies and instead takes care of some "technical Bullshit".

Seismic hazard and accidents
The Kuosheng NPP is only a few kilometers away from a tectonic fracture and is therefore at high risk of earthquakes. A 7,6 magnitude earthquake on September 21, 1999 automatically shut down several reactors in Chinshan and Kousheng.
According to a website of the "Austrian Ecology Institute", three workers were exposed to increased radiation in 1993 when fuel rods fell into the water. The event was classified as an INES Level 3 incident.
On May 15, 2001, the operator found that 54 of the 157 control rods in the Kuosheng-2 reactor, which are designed to control nuclear reactions and protect fuel assemblies from overheating, were cracked. The operator checked all control rods of the same design in the other nuclear power plants...

On June 18, 1988, a leak in the reactor core emergency cooling system was discovered.
The most dangerous incident, classified as INES level 2, occurred in 2002: due to a valve being opened accidentally, the pressure in the primary circuit of the Tihange nuclear power plant dropped and cooling water evaporated. If the safety systems hadn't responded, a meltdown could have resulted.
In 2010, 600 liters of acid spilled and contaminated the Meuse. For years, two liters of radioactive water leaked out of a spent fuel storage facility every day; the reason for this was not found until 2013. The nuclear power plant is also located in an earthquake-prone area ...
