In the summer of 2012, a chaining action and a climbing action blocked the railway line between Münster (Westphalia) and the uranium enrichment plant in Gronau. The OLG Hamm has now confirmed the unusually high penalties of 90 and 110 daily rates of the Münster district court for the chaining action.
While the proceedings because of the climbing action were discontinued after a short time, the two people who were chained at the time were convicted of "disrupting public operations" before the Steinfurt district court and on appeal before the Münster district court. The appeal filed against the judgment in December 2015 has now been rejected by the Hamm Higher Regional Court. The decision of the regional court, according to which the two chained people were sentenced to 90 and 110 daily rates of 15 euros each, i.e. 1350 euros and 1650 euros, respectively, is now final.

Resistance to the THTR in Germany and South Africa
BI Hamm is now over 40 years old and its history is rich in experiences and events. So the question arose as to which experiences I emphasize today and which I neglect.
In my lecture I will emphasize some local peculiarities, but also show how we have worked on international issues, especially South Africa, over the past 15 years.
Construction of the THTR began in 1971 when many of the founding members were too young to care about the subject. 1. General remarks
The polluter pays principle is one of the three fundamental principles of environmental law in Germany and Europe. It states that the costs of preventing and eliminating environmental damage caused by economic activities are to be charged to the polluter. The aim of this principle is to prevent individual social actors from gaining economic advantages by passing the costs and risks arising from their activities on to society. Thirty years after Chernobyl and the incident in the thorium high-temperature reactor (THTR) Hamm-Uentrop, which became known a few days later on May 4, 1986, a contribution on the Wikipedia discussion page on THTR confirms the worst fears of the opponents of nuclear power plants.
What happened?
Only now did we discover Dr. Hermann Schollmeyer from March 1, 2015. Schollmeyer was the specialist commissioning manager of BBC AG Mannheim, responsible for the shut-off rods produced by this company, as well as for the five steam turbines including the measurement and control technology for the THTR in Hamm.
In the THTR, on May 4, 1986, Kugelbruch once again blocked reactor operation. What happened next is described by Schollmeyer on Wikipedia in section 34, control rods / absorber rods:
