A flood of open letters and press freedom day
Concerned citizens addressed an open letter to Chancellor Olaf Scholz, urging him to maintain his policy of a steady hand and a cool head. Since then, we have seen a wave of open letters and Scholz has flip-flopped. It was press freedom day and Julian Assange is still in prison - because MIK and the United States, the land of the free and the brave, want it that way.
In the digital jungle and in the rushing press forest, there were articles on both topics and everyone agreed: the right to freedom of expression and freedom of the press are valuable assets in our democratic society and concern us all.
The right to freedom of expression is also used very actively, after the above-mentioned open letter, there was a tsunami of so-called "expression of opinion". The "Friends of MIC' Overwhelmed with comments, from mocking to gloomy-heavy and yet perceived as too light, to hateful, everything was there. A threatening roar came from deep in the lower drawers: "You'll probably still be allowed to defend yourself, right?".
The tenor of those who would rather see the chancellor in uniform and at the forefront: pacifists are always to blame for everything!
Completely normal, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, the pattern has been known since the beginning of time and does not become better or more correct through constant repetition. Because they always get a headache when they think about it, don't want to put themselves in an awkward position, and/or are too cowardly to face the real dangers, they fight those who are different.
Please publish digitally only, it's unbearable that countless trees have to die to print something like this.
Be that as it may, a cross-party front of warmongers has prevailed and a few specimens of old German tank technology are almost on their way from Germany to Ukraine.
It's getting cramped in the digestive tract of the MIK, that's where they all cavort. Supposedly conservatives and liberals lounge around in their regular seats, the special democrats act as always as if they don't belong and just got lost. And now the Greens are pushing en masse into this honorable society, to the troughs of power.

From one's own opinion to freedom of the press and 'double standards'.
Of course, freedom of expression and freedom of the press also includes the daily court reporting by the relevant media about the funny Elon Musk and our favorite horror clown Don Trumpl as well as all the other upright pillars of our society. It doesn't matter whether one of these VIPs said something important or not, it's just a matter of everyone's favorite constant drip that erodes the stone and the brain. These colorful papers also like to comment on the fates of Putin's upright opponents, the death-defying Alexei Navalny and Volodymyr Zelensky, the steadfast President of Ukraine and courageous defender of Kiev. Both play masterfully on the keyboard of the Western media and love to be played with it.
The situation is completely different when it comes to beleaguered reporters and journalists in western countries. Just like in the East, journalists are being killed and imprisoned here in the West, and what is happening? Not much, a short report is published in the daily news and crocodile tears are regularly shed on Press Freedom Day. Those responsible always get off lightly. Regardless of whether it is the client of the murderers from Saudi Arabia or the jailer from Ankara, nothing happens. Why should it? Presidents of the United States have been holding Julian Assange and others captive for years and nothing is happening.
And our press people, they don't let such unpleasant stories ruin their next interview appointment or even their careers...
